Matthew 4:7 Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not put the Lord thy God to the test.
Judges 6:36 And Gideon said unto God, If thou wilt save Israel by mine hand, as thou hast said, Behold, I will put a fleece of wool in the floor; and if the dew be on the fleece only, and it be dry upon all the earth beside, then shall I know that thou wilt save Israel by mine hand, as thou hast said. And it was so: for he rose up early on the morrow, and thrust the fleece together, and wringed the dew out of the fleece, abowl full of water. >Gideon did not put the Lord his God to the test, he was testing whether or not he heard him right. >The lord knows our hearts. If we ask anything honestly he will oblige us for his name and his purpose..Indeed, I believe the Lord delights to confirm His word and will for us when we seek him diligently. If we are not sure about anything, we may come boldly unto the throne of Grace, believing in Him. May we have boldness to ask the Father about His good plans, in Christ, Amen, >Father, thank you for what you have done for us in Christ Jesus. Lord we ask that you reveal your good plans (as we are able to bear it) and confirm the gifts you have given to each brother...Lord, open our understanding. May the brethren prosper especially in that function of the body to which you have set them, In Christ Amen! Thank you Father. Ephesians 5:15-17 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is. |
