Mark 5:38-42 And he cometh to the house of the ruler of the synagogue,and seeth the tumult, and them that wept and wailed greatly And when he was come in, he saith unto them, Why make ye this ado, and weep? the damsel is not dead, but sleepeth. And they laughed him to scorn. But when he had put them all out, he taketh the father and the mother of the damsel, and them that were with him, and entereth in where the damsel was lying. And he took the damsel by the hand, and said unto her,Talitha cumi; which is, being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee,arise. And straightway the damsel arose, and walked; for she was of the age of twelve years. And they were astonished with a great astonishment. > Prayer is communication with God. We are exhortated to have a dedicated open line with a bug free point to point protocol. The Word gives us that command. The Lord gives us that ability. Still, on occasion, the Lord had to retreat to be alone with God , and when the going got tough, he only wanted people around him that would believe and would pray. So no matter what was happening, all else was sacrificed to maintain an ongoing communication with Our Father. Mark 14:34-39 And saith unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful unto death: tarry ye here, and watch. And he went forward a little, and fell on the ground,and prayed that, if it were possible, the hour might pass from him. And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt. And he cometh, and findeth them sleeping, and saith unto Peter, Simon, sleepest thou? couldest not thou watch one hour? Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak. And again he went away, and prayed, and spoke the same words. 1 Thessalonians 5:4-6 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; butlet us watch and be sober... 1 Peter 4:7-8 But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer. And above all things have fervent love among yourselves: for love shall cover the multitude of sins. >Father Bless the Brethren in their needs today.
