1 Corinthians 13 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not love ,I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not love, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give mybody to be burned, and have not love, it profiteth me nothing. Love suffereth long, and is kind; love envieth not; love vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth allthings. Love never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail;whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shallbe done away. When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thoughtas a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I knowin part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. And now abideth faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
1 John 4:7-8 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God;and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. > God is love, so I believe if one goes off to do correct religions things without love it is as without God. (No Thanks) Psalms 127:1 Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain. John 15:4-5 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide inthe vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. John 15:8-11 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples. As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love. If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love. These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. >Some of those branches look mighty good. Glory be to God for good fruit. Now I don't know..., but if some good looking branches went and chopped a cluster of grapes off another branch to cover their true nakedness, then that beauty is only Grape Skin deep. That fruit will soon wither. Best not to compare ourselves to good looks. >In any case, fruit is good. For fruit to produce on this branch it must come from the vine, and that fruit will remain. If we are good then the looks are consequential in due season. It does not yet appear what we shall be. Glory be to God. The fruit bearing branches shall rejoice in spirit and in truth. >Father, we love you., forgive us unfruitful self effort. We turn from ourselves. Blessed is your name. As we know to do good ( to produce fruit), for which you have created us, we wait in Christ. You provide the sap, the power, and strength to fulfill it in your good season. Now is the time of salvation. Come in Lord Jesus and fulfill your good pleasure today. We abide in your peace. Thank you father. All glory be to God. Amen |
