For the Joy

Matthew 26:37 And he took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful and very heavy. Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceedingsorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me. And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.

>God does not ask that we should care for the cup. The trial. That would be perverted. If it is that we should fight for a good cause it is because we stand for Good. Sometimes standing for good is to STOP fighting in the flesh and listen to God.Therein we fight the good fight, rather than as one who beats the air.

Hebrews 12:1-2 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

>I love to sing the Psalms. When I was a little boy, we use to sing this nearly every Sunday. It never grows old. Indeed it is more fresh and contemporary than the latest "news." The word of God is always Anointed! Hallelu Jah! Amen.

Psalms 100
A Psalm of praise

Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands. Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing. Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.

>Amen!
