If ye love me

Hebrews 1:1-9 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they. For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son? And again, when he bringeth in the first begotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him. And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire. But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

John|14:5-10 Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him. Philip saith unto him, Lord, show us the Father, and it sufficeth us. Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father? Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.

> Now here's an amazing thing, he by whom all things are upheld by the word of His power is standing before these men and they are questioning where is the manifestation of God. Was there ever a question about what God can Do in His great and mighty power? Not at all. The truth here is that the man Jesus was in the Father and the Father was in Him. The very Christ. So what? Still, what good did that do them? The Lord was more interested that the knowledge of who he was should be formed in them by Faith. He is the Christ whether or not they believe. He by whom all things are upheld by the word of his power was standing there with these men having a conversation hoping to pursuade them to see who he was by what God had given to them. To Him that hath shall more be given.Jesus is the first born among many brethren.

Hebrews|11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

John 14:23-24 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.

>So what are these great and mighty deeds we can do to please God? It might be to hold your tongue when someone has done something wrong instead of lashing out to make yourself feel better. It is looking to God with love first in everything and sensing what he would have us do... that often goes against the desires of the flesh and even if it is a good desire it is allowed by faith for God said so, not in service to the desire. God knows what's best.

Luke 19:11 And as they heard these things, he added and spake a parable, because he was nigh to Jerusalem, and because they thought that the kingdom of God should immediately appear.Galatians 4:19 My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you,

>Thank you Lord for your word and your presesnce with us this day! In Jesus' name amen.
