Acts|1:23-26 And they appointed two, Joseph called Barsabas, who was surnamed Justus, and Matthias. And they prayed, and said, Thou, Lord, which knowest the hearts of all men, show whether of these two thou hast chosen, That he may take part of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place. And they gave forth their lots; and the lot fell upon Matthias; and he was numbered with the eleven apostles.

>These men were to be waiting in Jerusalem for the Power from above. The Holy Comforter had not yet come. They may have had good intentions , but the Holy Spirit was not guiding them. Later, of course, they were filled with the Holy Spirit and the Lord chose Saul of Tarsus for the new Apostle.

Psalms|127:1 Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.

>Father, almighty God, blessed be your Holy name. Thank you for your forgiveness for our sins through the blood of Jesus Christ. Open up our understanding to your word and cause us to walk in your priorities. May the Church be renewed in a right Spirit of humility and power. Cause the Holy Spirit to come upon the assembly of believers, purge your Church of old leaven. You dwell in your Holy Temple. Blessed be Father, Son , and Holy Spirit. Father we praise you. May will be done and your word be made known. Abba Father. In Jesus name amen. Thank you Lord.
