Matthew|5:43-48 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same? And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so? Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. >When SwordLight began, it was a ministry to those in need of the Good News. I soon learned that those in need of the Good news need good Christians that also have heard and tell of the Good news. :) Amen. >Thank you Father for the brethren that are in the world. Lord seal your word to our hearts and give us a desire to share the Gospel with others, even the tax collectors Lord. Open our understanding and our mouths with things that we have heard and seen from you. God bless people to get what they need, use us Lord. Lord prepare people's hearts as you alone draw men and may they receive Jesus Christ. May Christians be instructed for power love and walk in a fruitful relationship with you. In Jesus name, Amen. Thank you Lord. ***Christ means "The Anointed One"***"And it shall come to pass in that day, that (the adversary's) burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing." Isaiah 10:27 And Jesus came to Nazareth where he had been brought up; and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day and stood up to read. And there was delivered unto him the scroll of the prophet, Isaiah. And when he had unrolled it, he found the place where it is written:
***Then, later, after the Resurrection and Pentecost, Peter was sent by the Lord to the house of a non-Jew (a Gentile)...*** Then Peter began to speak: " I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism but accepts men from every nation who fear him and do what is right. This is the message God sent to the people of Israel, telling the good news of peace through Jesus Christ, who is lord of all. You know what has happened throughout Judea, beginning in Galilee after the baptism that John preached- how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, and how he went about doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him. We are witnesses of everything he did, both in the land of the Jews and Jerusalem; they killed him by hanging him on a tree, but God raised him from the dead on the third day and caused him to be seen. He was not seen by all the people, but by witnesses whom God had already chosen-by us who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead. He commanded us to preach to the people and to testify that he is the one whom God ordained as judge of the living and the dead. All the prophets testify about him that whosoever believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name." While Peter yet spoke these words, the Holy Spirit came on all them who heard the word. Those believers with Peter who were of the circumcision were astonished because the gift of the Holy Spirit was also poured out even on the Gentiles. For they heard them speaking in tongues and praising God. Then Peter said "Can anyone forbid these people to be baptized with water, who have received the Holy Spirit just as we have?" So he ordered them to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. ACTS 10:34-48a |
