Jesus praying to the Father: John|17:16-19 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world. And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth. Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me,and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. 2 Corinthians|6:14-18 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty. Philippians 2:12-16 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed,not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. Do all things without murmurings and disputings: That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation,among whom ye shine as lights in the world; Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoicein the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain. The Lord is impressing upon me repentance in associations. He has shown me that even casual acceptance of TV sitcoms undermines the power and fellowship of Christ. TV is sometimes too much an omni directional interace. "You just listen to what we say and be quiet." We've made "allowances" when we don't have to. But, it can easily be repented of, and fellowship with Christ restored. Praise the Lord. Father forgive us for any unequal yokings in heart towards the world even while at work or in viewing popular media. Thank you for that holy fellowship in we have with you in Jesus Christ. Help us to be aware of the spirit of what we allow. Help us to be instant in prayer, but not to be puffed up. May your light and character be in our lives and seen that you may be glorified, In Jesus Name, Amen. Thank you Father! Blessed is the name of the Lord!
