Hello!, Blessed be the Name of the Lord! 2 Peter 1:1-8 Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ: Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these you might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness love. For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that you shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. Galatians|5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. It was really quite a revelation to me having dealt with legalistic demons to learn that these desirable qualities are FRUIT of the Holy spirit. The letter of the law kills. Self-effort is the goal of satan: A correct society and church, but denial of his power. But the truth for those in Christ is far different. Christian character is produced by Christ's power within us, not fearful self effort which is never enough. It is as we yield to him and associate unto Him that this power comes from inside of us outward. Outward associations try to get you to turn inwardly. They are not from within, but they try to provoke you to inwardly turn from faith to sin. Don't panic. God is faithful. He is still inside of us. He will never leave us nor forsake us. Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks: speak the faithful words of truth.: Jesus' blood was shed for me. Faithful is he who calls you who also shall perform it. There is now no condemnation to those in Christ Jesus. Christ has redeemed me from the curse of the law. Thanks be to God for Jesus Christ. This word 'yield' means 'associate': Romans 6:13 Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God. 1 Cor 15:33 Be not led astray; evil communications corrupt good manners; This is the outward push to get you to turn inwardly. Even when you are in the company of a person that implys himself to be a brother by asscoiating with you (yet he is not), Your asscoiation with God will come from within and overcome in Christ. All things work together for good to those who love God! If we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. Lord thank you for your many blessings in Christ. Lord come in an forgive us any turning from you no matter how slight. We confess that on occasion we have sinned. Heal us and restore us and renew us aright even from unknown sins. Fill us with your Holy Spirit and use us for your Glory, in Jesus' name Amen. The Holy comforter is come and he reproves the world of sin and of righteousness and of judgement. Amen. Thank you Lord!
