For I rejoiced exceedingly, when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in you, even as you walk in the truth. While: 1 Timothy 6:5-12 Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw yourself. But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and raiment let us be therewithcontent. But they that would be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. For a root of all the evils is the love of money, which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness. We all would be prosperous. Much money is not prosperity. And just the lack of money is not poverty. 1 Timothy 6:17-19 Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not high minded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy; That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate; Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life. It's a heart thing. A couple of dollars with love to an honest indigent may have more impact in the kingdom of God than millions 'given' for the purpose of a show. ( And I recomend that you charge him to give some of it to help somone else or the Church first. That way he wil begin to prosper too.:)) An active prayer life will always meld our heart with God.
